Heatwave™ Technology
On the heating edge
Our doctors discovered that waves of pulsed heat, applied to the pain site at optimal temperatures, modulates pain receptors and can reduce pain in minutes and create soothing relief that lasts for hours.
The Proof
Soovu Clinical Studies
We’re proud of Soovu’s outcomes and believe in transparency which is why we make our clinical studies public.
Soovu shows potential to reduce anxiety
This open-label prospective study established the safety of using Soovu for three consecutive heating cycles on its maximum temperature. The results also showed a significant reduction in self-reported anxiety immediately after the treatment. The decrease in self-reported anxiety suggests that Soovu may be an effective tool for improving feelings of anxiety.
Soovu delivers fast, effective pain relief
Double blinded clinical study shows Soovu pulsed heat(1) delivers significantly more effective pain relief at 5 minutes vs. steady heat at 37°C for patients with chronic low back pain.
Soovu delivers heat safely to the skin
A 25-participant study designed to assess the safety of pulsed heat on the skin in various locations (upper and lower back, abdomen and inner arm) showed no adverse events.
Soovu delivers lasting pain relief
Double blinded clinical study shows Soovu high energy pulsed heat2 delivers significantly more effective pain relief 3.5 hours post treatment vs. steady heat at 37°C for patients with chronic low back pain after one 30-min treatment.
Soovu more effective than steady heat for low back pain
Results showed more effective pain relief after using Soovu pulsed heat vs. steady heat (40°C) wraps after one 30-minute treatment for patients with chronic low back pain.
Clinical data on heat's effect on pain receptors
This manuscript reviews clinical studies of heat-induced pain relief in humans, analyzes basic laboratory studies and offers possible mechanisms of action particularly related to TRPV-1 pain receptors.
Soovu more effective than steady heat for menstrual pain
Results showed more effective pain relief after using Soovu pulsed heat vs. steady heat (40°C) wraps after one 30-minute treatment for patients with menstrual pain.
Soovu delivers significant relief for in-home users
An eight-week in-home use test (IHUT) of 34 subjects with chronic low back pain showed significant reductions in pain and pain interference with activities of daily living, such as walking, sleeping, mood, and overall well-being.
